Samuel Lee

Samuel Seongeun Lee serves as the Web3 Investment Lead at The World in 2050. In this role, he provides consultancy on blockchain, ESG, and sustainability-related business opportunities for startups and portfolio companies. He has a wide range of involvement in different blockchain initiatives at the intersection of climate & blockchain. He has experience in renewable energy market mechanisms, ESG reporting standards, and sustainability-focused legislation. He has expertise in frameworks such as CDP, SBTi, RE100, EV100, TCFD, and coal finance. He also provides recommendations on regulatory frameworks and contributes to the strategic design of carbon market infrastructure.

Beyond his professional roles, Sam contributes to the global sustainability community as the Co-Chair of the INATBA Social Impact & Sustainability Working Group, leading sustainability reporting initiatives for blockchain infrastructure. He provides strategic advise to NbsHub a collaborative platform dedicated to scaling Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) by addressing public policy, capacity-building, and technology needs. He is also recognized as an expert at the European Carbon Offset Tokenization Association (ECOTA) and mentor at the 1st cohort of Refi Talents.
